A Coborn Apprenticeship…

Our Apprenticeship Scheme is something we are immensely proud of, with approximately 80%of our highly skilled Engineers having joined Coborn through our Apprenticeship Scheme, it is our ethos to continue to develop the talent our business needs and provide opportunities for training and progression through our programme and ultimately a career in engineering at Coborn.

We offer different levels of apprenticeship programmes at Coborn, incorporating bespoke and specialist on the job training as well as working closely with external training providers to fulfil off the job training through recognised qualifications.

The unique structure of our Apprenticeship programme allows our Apprentices to gain high levels of skill and competence in all operational areas of engineering, following which Apprentices can select a principle department or discipline to progress their skill to a more advanced level. We use challenging training plans covering all key operations departments within Coborn, including:

Milling; Turning; Grinding; Electrical; Assembly; Design; Spraying; Spindles;

It is our belief that not only should our Apprenticeship Programme enable the development of first class precision engineers but also the business leaders of the future so we have recently reviewed our programme to incorporate complementary learning in many relevant areas of business.
